Up to nine transfer credits may be accepted into a degree program, with the exception of courses taken through AOEU. Previously completed AOEU coursework may be approved as transfer credits for up to 50% of the program credits.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Transfer Credit Requirements<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Transfer credit will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. Prior coursework may be considered for transfer credit if all the following conditions are met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Coursework is graduate-level (500-level or above).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Coursework was completed at an appropriately accredited institution within the past five years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">The final grade earned is a B (80%) or higher.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Coursework is equivalent to a current AOEU course.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Transfer Credit Evaluations<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>To evaluate potential transfer credit, the student must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete a degree program Admisssions Application Form.<\/li>\n<li>Pay all applicable fees.<\/li>\n<li>Submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/theartofeducation.edu\/transfer\/\">Transfer Credit Request Form<\/a> before the start of their first course.<\/li>\n<li>Unofficial transcripts and course syllabi must accompany the form submission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Transfer credit evaluations are valid for 60 days from the date of approval. Students with approved transfer credits who do not sign their enrollment agreement within 60 days must re-submit courses for evaluation. Students with accepted transfer credits who do not submit official transcripts within 60 days forfeit their transfer credit acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>Accepted coursework will be displayed on the student\u2019s course records page. Students can direct questions concerning transfer credits to the Registrar at <a href=\"mailto:registrar@theartofeducation.edu\">registrar@theartofeducation.edu<\/a> or 515.236.5094.<\/p>\n<h4>Non-matriculated Coursework<\/h4>\n<p>Continuing education courses taken through The Art of Education University before program enrollment are subject to the Transfer Credit Policy requirements. Students may complete a maximum of 50% of the degree program credit hours prior to enrolling in a degree program. Students who intend to pursue a degree at The Art of Education University are encouraged to apply early to ensure coursework will help<br \/>them reach their intended goal.<\/p>\n<p>The Registrar reviews all non-matriculated courses. The Dean of Graduate Studies makes the final decision regarding non-matriculated course transferability.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Residency Requirement<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Students enrolled in degree programs must complete a minimum of 50% of the degree program credit hours with The Art of Education University as the institution of record. Coursework taken through The Art of Education University with a partner institution of record appears as transfer credits on the official transcript.
